Where Our Students Work

Our students pursue a wide range of professional careers as consultants and scientists for:

Science and engineering companies who contract their services to individuals, private companies, municipalities, and other government agencies
Agricultural and Industrial companies (e.g. steel, gas, coal, oil) who use water resources, or whose industry impacts water resources, in order to comply with best management practices, as well as water quality and other environmental regulations
City, county, state, tribal, and federal government agencies in the U.S. and abroad
Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and environmental volunteer organizations

With graduate or other advanced education, our students are employed as:

Self-employed individual contractors or as principals of their own start-up firms
Professors teaching at the community college- or university-level
Research scientists performing high-level research in national laboratories
Environmental lawyers and public health managers
