Joel Biederman

Research Areas of Interest:

I study impacts of vegetation change on the coupled cycling of water, energy and biogeochemicals. My present research addresses the mountain pine beetle epidemic which has swept the Western US and Canada since 1996. My work describes the resulting changes to ecosystem behavior and seeks predictive tools to inform planning and decision-making.
