Outreach
Members of the department provide Outreach actitivities that are typically educational and informational. Outreach is done with organizations and entities within our local community, the State of Arizona, the nation, and the world. Typical activities include:

Faculty Outreach through training and education at a variety of levels: high school students, post-high school graduates, teachers, visiting student scholars

Faculty Outreach through presentations, interviews for television and radio, consultations, judging for local and regional science fairs and competitions, and talks and demonstrations for community groups, community colleges, and governmental and non-profit agencies

Student Outreach through peer advising, presentations, and tutoring to UA students, K-12 students, other educational groups

Staff Outreach through contributing to the activities of professional societies and organizations (the UA's University Professional Advising Council, National Academic Advising Association, National Council of University Research Administrators)
