"The Friday luncheon awards ceremony was a heartfelt and emotional event. Dr. Martha Whitaker made a moving presentation honoring our late dear friend and colleague, Tom Meixner, as the recipient of this year's Arizona Hydrological Society Lifetime Achievement Award.
Kathleen Meixner, his widow, gave a gracious and humble acceptance speech and reminisced about what Tom might have thought about receiving the award. Both Kathleen Meixner and Sean Meixner, one of Tom's sons, were on hand to receive the award and thanked the Arizona Hydrological Society on his behalf."
