- American Geophysical Union (AGU)
A nonprofit scientific organization, operated as an affiliate of the National Academy of Sciences. In 1972 AGU was incorporated in the District of Columbia and membership was opened to scientists and students worldwide.
- Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR)
ADWR works to secure long-term water supplies for Arizona's communities. The Department administers state water laws (except those related to water quality), explores methods for augmenting water supplies to meet future demands, and develops policies that promote conservation and equitable distribution of water.

is to facilitate collaborations between teachers/students and scientists/watershed managers to promote long-term research and monitoring of riparian environments in Arizona.
- Arizona Water Institute (AWI)
AWI provides information, assistance and technologies that support water
management in rural and urban communities and can be exported worldwide by
Arizona companies. AWI is “virtual” in nature, built with information technology instead of bricks and mortar. It is intended to be self supporting in the very near future, with funding coming primarily from public/private partnerships, donations, contracts and federal and foundation grants.
- American Water Resources Association (AWRA)
Founded in 1964, the American Water Resources Association is a non-profit professional association dedicated to the advancement of men and women in water resources management, research, and education. AWRA’s membership is multidisciplinary; its diversity is its hallmark. It is the professional home of a wide variety of water resources experts including engineers, educators, foresters, biologists, ecologists, geographers, managers, regulators, hydrologists and attorneys.

- Hydrology for the Environment, Life, and Policy (HELP)
A global network of catchments to improve the links between hydrology and the needs of society with the establishment of a task force, consisting of hydrological scientists, water resources managers and water policy specialists.
- International Association for Environmental Hydrology (IAEH)
A worldwide association of professional environmental hydrologists. IAEH was founded in 1991 to meet the needs of the professional environmental hydrologists, in particular those working in the area of environmental cleanup, restoration and pollution prevention.

- Land Data Assimilation Schemes (LDAS)
A collaboration of government agencies (NOAA and NASA) and universities (Princeton and Washington) to establish a suite of North American real-time hydrologic predictions.
- National Water Resources Association (NWRA)
The National Water Resources Association is a nonprofit federation of state organizations whose membership includes rural water districts, municipal water entities, commercial companies and individuals. As an Association it is concerned with the appropriate management, conservation, and use of water and land resources on a national scope.
