We are in Clark County, Missouri (Latitude-40 degrees 25.06 minutes North, Longitude-91 degrees 42.77 minutes West, Elevation-217 meters). Our site is an open field with relatively undisturbed soil covered with grass (MUC 4251). Ten years ago the area was a cattle lot. Since then, it has been a hay field. Recently, a new school has been built near the lot and maintenance mows the area a few times a year to keep down growth. We feel the soil moisture will remain high during the wet spring season and will go down as summer approaches.
