GLOBE 2000 PILOT TEST PROGRAM

Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) is a K-12 environmental education program that allows students to compare and share data with 1000's of other schools around the world using the internet. The Principle Investigators for two of the science focus areas (Soil Moisture/Soils and Hydrology) are located in Tucson and would like your help to evaluate new measurement protocols and activities.

Select schools have been asked to participate in the pilot testing of the protocols because of the cost of supplying the equipment. Any school can pilot test the activities. In general, protocol testing requires a 6 month commitment to follow the pilot protocols, referenced below.

This is a great opportunity for your students to be given the assignment of testing these materials and coming up with their own criteria for its evaluation.
