Alkalinity
Dear GLOBE colleagues,
During the past year GLOBE schools have been conducting measurements of
alkalinity at water systems near their schools. We have lots of
information telling us about what these waters are like now, but what
does it really mean, and how do those kits work? We realize that the
kits sometimes seem mysterious, with fancy chemicals and now we want
to take the time to explain how the test works from a chemical prospective.
