In this larger river, pH and alkalinity decline as snowmelt runoff increases in the spring. These data were taken from the Rivers of Colorado Water Watch Network, which has involved several schools in Colorado collecting and analyzing water samples in much the same way as do GLOBE schools. Glenwood Springs High School is also a GLOBE School. Discharge data are from the USGS.
