  • Topics will address challenges to our economy, national security, environment, and public safety. This meeting will focus on the science that helps inform policymakers’ decisions related to energy, natural hazards, technology and infrastructure, climate, oceans, and the Arctic.

+ CONFERENCE:  Arizona Water Reuse 2013 Conference - Mon-Tue, July 15-16

  • Co-Sponsored by WateReuse Arizona and the Arizona Water Association's Reuse Committee

  • The conference has been schedule as an exchange of information and experience related to water reuse planning, implementation, and operation.
  • All conference sessions will be held at the Little America Hotel Flagstaff.  The Monday night dinner will be held at the Little America Hotel. 
  • Webinar (webcasts) of Monday's General Session and Seccion A and Tuesday's Session A and Planning for the Future will be held in Tucson at the Water Energy Sustainability Center (WESC), Pima County Wastewater Reclamation, 3035 W. El Camino del Cerro, and in Phoenix at the Phoenix Water Services Department (9th floor training room), City Hall, 200 West Washington Street.
    • Off-site registration is limited to the first 30 registrants per location.
  • Professional Development Hours (PDHs) are available for attending the conference technical sessions. A maximum of 8.5 PDHs may be awarded based upon your attendance. Participants will be issued a certificate to indicate the number of PDHs attended during the conference.

+ CONFERENCE:  AGU Soil-mediated Drivers of Coupled Biogeochemical and Hydrological Processes Across Scales - Mon-Thu, Oct 21-24

  • The four key areas of research to be addressed at the proposed conference include:
    • Coupled abiotic-biotic drivers of organic matter and nutrient transformations and transport across terrestrial-aquatic interfaces
    • Quantification and improved prediction of gas flux exchange in the soil-plant systems
    • Monitoring strategies of soil-mediated processes and drivers from local to catchment scales over time
    • The soil resource as a primary driver of ecosystem services
