The 23rd Annual El Dia del Agua research symposium to be held April 10, 2013, will showcase the brightest and best undergraduate and graduate student research projects in hydrology and water resources and is one of the hallmark events to be held during EarthWeek 2013 sponsored by the University of Arizona's School of Earth and Environmental Sciences.

In addition to student oral paper and poster presentations, El Dia will host two invited speakers: Maria Baier, CEO of The Sonoran Institute and former Arizona State Land Commissioner, will talk during the luncheon hour and Dr. Abe Springer, Professor at Northern Arizona University's School of Earth Sciences and Environmental Sustainability, will present the keynote talk.  Following the keynote presentation, awards and prizes will be announced for the best oral and poster student presentations.  The HWR Student Association will also present the Aqua Man-Aqua Woman Awards to the most outstanding Junior and Senior Faculty Instructors for the year.

The day will end with a reception and social hour to honor Sponsors, Student Presenters, Alumni, and Friends of HWR.
