El Dia Prospective Students
Why You Should Attend
We encourage prospective students to visit our department for the day of El Dia del Agua and following-day meetings with the faculty. Classes in the department will be canceled on Wednesday, and this event provides an excellent opportunity to meet our students and all of our faculty together in one location and on the same day!
The HWR Student Association (HWRSA) is planning other prospective-student-centered social functions on Wednesday evening. On Thursday, prospective students are invited to meet with potential faculty advisors in their research areas of interest. On Friday, students may attend classes or participate in HWRSA social functions such as hiking, frisbee and picnic in the park, or sightseeing in Sabino Canyon, Mount Lemmon, or the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.
Attending El Dia del Agua is a great way to learn more about our department's programs and research and to meet with our students and faculty in a more relaxed and informal atmosphere.
Accomodations and Itineraries for Students
Prospective students should contact the HWRSA Student Association for potential accommodations with fellow students and to make arrangements for transportation to and from the Tucson International Airport.
If you are seeking some financial sponsorship from a potential faculty advisor, please contact that individual directly (People Directory). Faculty members may have funding for students they wish to recruit.
