- Application Deadline April 6 by 5 PM
- Selected candidates must be available for interview during the week of April 16
- Tucson Chapter of the Arizona Hydrological Society seeks applicants for the 2012 Intern Scholar
- Eligibility: Undergraduate and graduate students currently studying hydrology, geology, civil-environmental-geological engineering, renewable natural resources, wastewater management, soil and water science, or other hydrology-related fields at any Arizona college or university.
- Qualified undergraduates will be given first preference in the selection process.
- $3000 stipend for 200 hours of experience within the 2012 calendar year with multiple agencies and private consulting companies in Tucson, Arizona

+ Arizona Floodplain Management Association (AFMA) Scholarship
- Deadline March 30
- Eligibility: Student must be a major in one fo the following areas of study:
- Civil engineering (with water resources emphasis)
- Water resources, including surface wtaer hydrology and hydraulics
- Watershed management
- Agricultural engineering
- Geomorphology
- Floodplain management accredited program approved by the AFMA Board of Directors
- Undergraduate students (minimum 3rd year-junior) must be within 40 semester hours of graduation
- Graduate students must be enrolled in a master's program with an emphasis in one of the fields listed above

Open to all graduate students at no cost, the Institute provides students with resources to develop individual writing skills and work successfully towards completing graduate studies.

The Writing Institute is for students working on research and conference papers, Master's theses, or Doctoral dissertations.

Format includes Large Group Workshops, Small Group Collaboration, Individual Tutoring, and Optional Workshops (Grammar, Library Research, and Grant Writing)
