Regents Professor W. James Shuttleworth has been selected as the 2011 Walter B. Langbein Lecturer for the American Geophysical Union Hydrology Section's annual fall conference in San Francisco, CA.  A video of the Fall 2011 lecture may be viewed on the Hydroinnova website (hydroinnova.com/video_shuttle_2011_long.html).

 

From AGU-Hydrology.org:  The Walter B. Langbein Lecture is the named lecture of the Hydrology Section, and is one of the AGU Bowie Lectures (www.agu.org/about/honors/bowie_lectures/index.shtml). It is presented once each year. The Lectureship is awarded "for lifetime contributions to the basic science of hydrology and/or unselfish service promoting cooperation in hydrologic research. Additional considerations may be the candidate's renown as a lecturer and/or as an educator."
