The Institute of the Environment semiannual Graduate Student Travel Awards program provides funding for graduate students to travel to meetings, workshops, conferences, or symposia to present their research. All graduate students at the University of Arizona who are engaged in interdisciplinary environmental research are invited to apply. The maximum amount of an award will be $500.
A panel of IE faculty will review the proposals. Partial or full funding will be awarded at the discretion of the panel and Co-Directors. Review criteria will include the strength of the proposal (e.g. impact on the students’ career, on scholarship in general, and/or environmental science and policy), interdisciplinary commitment, faculty recommendation, and financial need.
