Students who work hard to achieve great things don't stop when they graduate.  HWR alumni are widely respected for their knowledge and abilities, their continued achievements, and their commitment to the science of hydrology and water resources.   Over the past 15 years, HWR Alumni have received the following awards and recognition:

  • Three Henry Darcy Distinguished Lecturers, Association of Ground Water Scientists and Engineers (during the years 1995-2011)
  • Three Birdsall-Dreiss Lecturers, Geological Society of America, Hydrogeology Division (during the years 1994-2012)
  • Kirk Bryan Award, Geological Society of America, Quaternary Geology and Geomorphology Division
  • University of Arizona Alumni Association Sydney S. Woods Alumni Service Award
  • NASA Software of the Year Award
  • Seven Goddard Space Flight Center Special Act Awards
  • Emil Truog Soil Science Award, Soil Science Society of America and American Society of Agronomy
